“Dear John” is one of the most talked about movies of the year 2010.
This story is about a soldier (SSG John Tyree Played by Channing Tatum), who falls for a conservative girl (Savannah Lynn Curtis played by Amanda Seyfried) when he had gone home for a temporary leave.
For John it was love at first sight, but he had to leave back for his base camp and the two lovers communicate with each other through letters, when one day fate takes an ugly turn.
Their relation goes through many sufferings and downturns as John’s deployments become more and more dangerous. The role of Randy is played by Scott Porter whereas Henry Thomas played the role of Tim Wheddon. Richard Jenkins played the role of Mr. Tyree, who is John’s father in the movie. This movie is directed by Lasse Hallström and produced by Wyck Godfrey. Deborah Lurie gave music to this movie and it has some really good soundtracks.
Lasse Hallström is a famous Oscar-nominated Spanish director who has directed many good movies like My Life as a Dog, The Cider House Rules What’s Eating Gilbert Grape, and Chocolate. Amada Seyfried seems brilliant as ever in the promos of the file whereas Channing Tatum is a treat to watch. The movie release date is perfect, as it is near Valentine’ Day and will surely attract people, especially youngsters towards itself.
The book by Nicholas Spark was a huge hit among people and thus, there are great expectations from this movie. Even the stars admit that this is their best performance ever. The fate of the movie will be known only after its release on 5th February 2010. Nevertheless, you should surely watch this movie.
